About Doulady
Hi! I’m Liz.
I’m a DONA International–trained birth and postpartum doula serving families in-person in the Louisville / Kentuckiana region, and beyond through virtual doula support. I provide thoughtful, grounded care that helps families feel steadier, more confident, and supported through pregnancy, birth, and the early weeks of parenting.
I also bring a background in graduate-level counseling, biology and physiology, and early childhood education — which informs how I center both science-based guidance and emotional steadiness in the care I offer.
Why I Do This Work
My passion for doula work began with my own pregnancies and natural childbirths, and it grew out of a desire to support families through life’s transitions with dignity and clarity.
I’ve also worked with families experiencing loss, high-risk concerns, unique challenges, and moments of unfamiliar territory — and those experiences have shaped how I show up: steady, respectful, and attentive to your needs.
I believe:
-
every family deserves thoughtful, personalized support
-
emotions and body experiences matter equally
-
you should feel listened to, not coached into someone else’s agenda
-
the transition into parenthood shouldn’t feel isolating
Supporting families in this way is a privilege and an honor — and I treat that responsibility with care and clear boundaries.
What I Offer
I provide doula support in ways that meet families where they are — whether that’s in person around childbirth and early postpartum, or virtually through structured support packages. My offerings include:
• In-Person Birth Doula Support
• In-Person Postpartum Support
• Virtual Doula Support — pregnancy, postpartum, and caregiving
• Evidence-Based Guidance on birth planning, newborn care, and transitions
The focus being present in the ways that matter most for each unique client’s support.
How I Approach Doula Care
My work blends:
-
evidence-based information and trauma-informed care
-
non-judgmental, heart-centered, emotional support
-
practical, grounded guidance
-
attention to your autonomy and resilience
I support parents — not because I have all the answers, but because I help hold space for your wisdom to emerge in ways that feel steadier and clearer.
Whether we’re planning for birth, navigating the early weeks at home, or working through a specific challenge, I aim to help you feel:
more confident
less overwhelmed
seen and respected
supported without judgement
A Note on Boundaries & Scope
Doula care offers emotional, informational, and practical support, but it is not medical care, therapy, or emergency services. For any medical concerns or emergencies, you should contact your healthcare provider or appropriate emergency services.
This clarity keeps support safe, reliable, and grounded for all families.
